Three streets from Ronat, completely modernized | TIMPOLIS

With the modernized road and landscaped sidewalks, Alexandru Dimitrie Xenopol, Banul Severinului and Adam Mickiewicz streets, in the Ronat district, now ensure a more fluent and safer car and pedestrian traffic, announces the Timisoara City Hall.

“For years, with every rain, these streets were a nightmare for the people of Ronat. I am glad that we have completed the work and that now the conditions are of the 21st century. In recent years, we have started street modernization and sidewalk repair programs in Timișoara’s neighborhoods, as well as for tree planting and the development of green spaces. We are working to reduce the gaps between the central area and the neighborhoods”, declared the mayor Dominic Fritz.

The total value of this project of the Timișoara City Hall for the rehabilitation and modernization of the three streets is 5.4 million lei (VAT included). The funds come entirely from the local budget.

The Municipality’s investment included the modernization of the roadway, the arrangement of sidewalks and car access to the properties, work on the household sewage system, the relocation of street lighting poles, the relocation of a section of the gas supply network and the creation of a technical sewerage system for cables. Now, the three streets are modernized over a length of almost one kilometer, the roadway modernized on almost 6,400 square meters, the sidewalks arranged on approximately 4,300 square meters and the accesses arranged on 750 square meters.

The local administration reminds that it has carried out modernization works on several streets, such as Orăștie and Alpinistilor, in the Modern district, and large boulevards such as Bogdăneștilor, Buziașului, Cetății, Constantin Prezan or Grigore Alexandrescu.
