A 12-year-old student from Olt county was allegedly beaten by the headmistress of the school where he studies. This would have caught him while he was banging on a door. The director claims that she only scolded him.

The incident took place at the secondary school in Recea village, Valea Mare commune. The child went home and said he was beaten by the school principal. They would have pulled him by the bangs and hit his head on the sheet metal. The parents called 112. The law enforcement officers went to the school to check.

“On April 2 this year, around 10:50 a.m., the Olt County Police Inspectorate was notified, by calling 112, by a man from Valea Mare commune, Olt county, regarding the fact that his son, in aged 12, was allegedly physically and verbally assaulted by the headmistress of an educational unit, from Valea Mare commune, where he is a student. The police officers of the Rural Police Section no. 8 Perieti, who have drawn up a criminal file under the aspect of committing the crime of abusive behavior.
In the case, the police are continuing the investigations to establish the factual situation and order the legal measures”, stated the representatives of the Olt Police.

According to the first data, the student was allegedly caught by the teaching staff while he was kicking a door in the school building. The headmistress would have scolded him for his deed, but it would not be a matter of physical aggression, the quoted source also says.

The student’s father also called for an ambulance to take his son to the hospital.

The spokesperson of the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, doctor Emilian Postelnicu, mentioned, for ertudin.ro, that he was subjected to several investigations.

“Indeed, a child presented himself during the morning (no. Tuesday), with the statement that he was assaulted by a teacher, that he slapped him and hit his head against the walls, but the child does not show any signs of of physical trauma, (…) is perfectly intact, and the skin and movements, is conscious, cooperative, out of any danger. Additional investigations are underway (…), let’s not miss anything, but at first glance it is perfectly intact and out of any danger”, stated Dr. Postelnicu.

The Olt County School Inspectorate is also investigating this case.
