The big projects of Cluj – from intention to implementation

The works at the Regional Emergency Hospital in Cluj will start in May, Mayor Emil Boc said on Tuesday, April 2, on Radio Cluj.

The municipality is investing 4 billion euros in large projects, which are already in the implementation phase:

Emil Boc: The metropolitan belt, the metropolitan train, the passage from Tăietura Turcului, the metro, connecting Cluj to the highway, the Regional Emergency Hospital – these are investments of over 4 billion euros that are now no longer in the preparation, studies, intentions, tenders phase .

90% of them are in the implementation phase and practically the works will also start at the Regional Emergency Hospital. They will start in May.

The work on the subway and the work on the metropolitan center will start in the next period.

The documentation for financing will be submitted to the metropolitan train. The connection of Cluj to the highway will be ready at the beginning of next year.

The passage on Tăietura Turcului is under construction as part of the Cluj-Bihor railway rehabilitation project.

We cannot remain confined to the administrative border between Cluj – Florești – Baciu – Apahida. We must think of Cluj beyond these borders, as we have already done for a long time, and practically expand the metropolitan area to a much larger area than what we have today.

The first works at the Cluj Regional Emergency Hospital, which consist of the organization of the site, will be executed by a Romanian company, within 8 months of issuing the order to start them.
