On April 1 this year, police officers from the Mangalia Municipality Police, under the coordination of the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mangalia Court, detained, for 24 hours, a 64-year-old man.

He is being investigated for the offenses of culpable bodily harm and driving a vehicle under the influence of alcohol or other substances.

The man was detained for 24 hours, driven and imprisoned in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center of the Constanța County Police Inspectorate.

Today, it will be presented to the case prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Mangalia Court, with a legal proposal.

We remind you that on Monday, April 1 this year, around 2:40 p.m., the man allegedly drove a car on Mihai Eminescu Street in the village of Arsa, lost control of the direction and injured two minors, aged 3 and 9, respectively.

Later, the car would have collided with a bridgehead, after which it would have hit two parked vehicles and the fence of a building.

As a result of the road accident, the driver and the two minors were injured.

The driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being 0.84 mg/l of pure alcohol in the exhaled air.

It was also tested with the device provided, in order to establish indications regarding the possible presence of psychoactive substances, the result being negative.
