A 25-year-old young man was detained by the police of Section 2 in Timişoara after he entered a building on Piaţa Bisericăr street in the city on April 1 and stole a bag inside which a laptop was allegedly found , a hard disk, as well as other objects, causing a damage of more than 4,000 euros.
“On April 1 this year, the policemen of the 2nd Timișoara Urban Section under the coordination of the prosecutor from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Timișoara District Court detained a young man suspected of committing the crime of qualified theft. He was introduced to the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center within the Timiș County Police Inspectorate.
In fact, on 30.03.2024, the police were alerted by a man regarding the fact that on the same day, between 16:00 and 16:30, an unknown person would have entered and stolen from a building located on Piața Bisericăr Street in Timișoara, a bag inside which was allegedly a laptop, a hard disk, as well as other objects, causing damage in the amount of approximately 20,000 lei.
Following the checks carried out, on 01.04.2024, the police managed to identify the person suspected of committing the act, namely a young man, aged 25.
Following the evidence administered in the case, on 01.04.2024, the young man was detained for a period of 24 hours, under the aspect of committing the crime of aggravated theft, and will be presented to the magistrates in the course of today in order to order some preventive measures. The young man was placed in the Detention and Preventive Arrest Center within the IPJ Timiș”, the IPJ Timiș reported.
The police are continuing their investigations in order to document the entire criminal activity of the man.
