After a 4-year mandate at the head of Bacau Municipality, Mayor Viziteu came out today with a critical post to the social democrats, accusing them of not financing the stadium. Promised since the election campaign – even by Viziteu, in the “famous contract with the people of Bacau” – the mayor failed to allocate even 1 leu for the construction or modernization of the stadium in Bacau.
Moreover, USR came to Bacau city hall with USR-PNL Government, therefore access to government funding for 1 year:
“One of the regrets we live in Bacău is that for many years we no longer have a football team in the first league, a team that can bring home the best teams from Romania, a team that can compete in European cups “…..”In the last 4 years I have had dozens of discussions with the prime ministers of Romania (Cîțu, Ciucă, Ciolacu) and with the directors of the CNI. However, I understood that the blockage was not from Bucharest – those who were blocking things were the very pesedists from Bacău who made sure all this time that our city did not receive funding.
