On Thursday, April 4, starting at 6:00 p.m., at the Florin Piersic Cinema in Cluj-Napoca, the regional event for Transylvania will take place to launch the United Right Alliance candidates in the European parliamentary elections, in the presence of the Alliance’s national leaders: Cătălin Drula (USR) , Eugen Tomac (PMP) and Ludovic Orban (Forța Dreptei). During the same event, the launch of the candidacies for the local elections in Cluj County will take place.
The event will mark the central moment of the presence of the United Right Alliance caravan in Cluj county. Thus, the people of Cluj who sympathize with us or want to know about our values and vision, but also about the candidates from Cluj of the United Right for the local and European parliamentary elections on June 9, can enter into a direct dialogue with us, on April 4:
- between 15:30 and 18:00 in the center of Cluj-Napoca at the dialogue meeting with the citizens within the signature collection actions to be able to run for the elections.
- at 10:00 a.m. in Turzii Plain, at 10:45 a.m. in Turda, at 12:30 p.m. in Gherla and at 1:30 p.m. in Dej, where the United Dreapta Unită Alliance caravan will be present.
“Located in the heart of Transylvania, Cluj county has always been close to right-wing values. It is therefore natural that the regional event to launch the candidates of the United Right Alliance for the June 9 European Parliament elections should take place in Cluj-Napoca. We are waiting for all the people of Cluj to join us on April 4 at the actions to mark this moment, including at the Florin Piersic cinema from 18:00 and we invite them to sign up at https://cluj.usr.ro/lansare/ ”, declares the president of USR Cluj, deputy Oana Murariu.
We recall the list of candidates of the United Right Alliance for the June 9 elections: Adriana Cristian (USR) for the European Parliament; Adrian Oros (FD) – candidate for the Presidency of Cluj County Council; Viorel Băltărețu (USR) – candidate for Cluj-Napoca City Hall. For the main town halls in the county are supported: Ciprian Rigman for Turda, Alina Meșter for Dej, Ioan Bakoș for Câmpia Turzii, Carol Szasz for Gherla, Anca Marcu for Cojocna, Csaba Kudor for Huedin.
“The June 9 elections are not only about the people and parties we send to the European Parliament or local government. They are about a direction, of Romania and the communities in which we live. And about the people who guarantee that the direction will remain of liberal democracy and European values. The United Right Alliance is the only right-wing, liberal force after PNL and PSD merged. We are the only ones who are opposed to the new single party taking over all positions in the state, from town halls and county councils, to parliament and the presidency. We invite the people of Cluj to meet us and convince themselves”, adds Oana Murariu.
