The meeting resulted in a proposal for a new collective labor agreement which would include a salary increase in two installments, starting in July, with a total amount close to that requested by the postal workers who protested recently and they even stopped working today in several offices in the country.
The salary increase by 400 lei net is the main claim of the employees, who state that more than half of them receive the minimum wage in the economy.
Today’s proposal is to be communicated to union members in the territory, and a decision should be made by tomorrow on whether to continue or end the protest.
