Approximately 65% ​​of the furniture sold by Mobexpert, the main Romanian company in the field of furniture production and retail, is today produced in factories in Romania, compared to 50% before the pandemic, a moment that also brought with it a change of strategy for the company , says Adelina Badea, CEO of Mobexpert, in an interview for Ziarul Financiar.

“The customer first looks for products made in Romania, then they look for other products. Romanian production was a priority for us. The pandemic helped us a lot because we had to reinvent ourselves and increase our capacity when we could no longer import from Asian countries, the transport costs being quite high”, said Adelina Badea, who took over the executive management of Mobexpert right before the outbreak of the pandemic, a period that meant a turning point for most sectors of the economy due to the limitations regarding the movement of people.

The Mobexpert group, founded 30 years ago, today owns, in addition to a network of 26 stores, eight furniture factories that produce for the Romanian market and for export. Mobexpert is a vertically integrated company, which starts with the design and projecting of products, goes through manufacturing and retail, until it reaches the end customer’s space.
