A woman from the Teslui commune died on Sunday evening after her husband allegedly hit her and stabbed her, against the backdrop of alcohol consumption and a family conflict, the representatives of the County Police Inspectorate (IPJ) informed on Monday. Olt.

The man who allegedly committed the murder was detained and will be presented to the court on Monday, writes Agerpres.

The police were alerted to the case on Sunday evening, by calling 112. According to some judicial sources, the conflict between the two husbands allegedly broke out due to the jealousy of the 65-year-old woman.

“From the first checks, the police established the fact that, on the evening of March 31, 2024, a 68-year-old man, against the backdrop of alcohol consumption and an intra-family conflict, would have hit his wife several times with a piece of wood in the head area and allegedly stabbed her with a sharp-cutting object in the thoraco-pectoral area. As a result of the event, the woman died, and her body was transported to the Slatina County Emergency Hospital, in order to carry out the necropsy, to establish the exact cause of death”, stated IPJ Olt.

The investigations at the crime scene were carried out by a complex team of criminal police and criminal investigations, under the coordination of the case prosecutor, from the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Olt Court

Following the administered probation, the 68-year-old man was detained for the crime of murder, to be presented on Monday, to the Olt Court, with proposals for preventive measures.
