Micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) can obtain European funds through at least 8 financing lines totaling around EUR 420 million, for which the online registration periods are established, within the regional programs in certain development regions of Romania. Here is a list of regional funding for which the project submission sessions are open or exactly scheduled to open:
European funds in the Central Region – the counties of Alba, Brașov, Covasna, Harghita, Mureș, Sibiu:
Eligible companies submit funding applications in the MySMIS2021 online system during December 15, 2023– May 15, 2024, 12:00 p.m. Eligible micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized firms can obtain SME grants of EUR 15,000-200,000/project, from a total budget of EUR 32 million, through the Center Regional Program 2021-2027.
SME grants in the North West Region – the counties of Cluj, Bihor, Bistrița-Năsăud, Maramureș, Satu Mare, Sălaj:
The period for submission of projects in the MySMIS2021 system is March 4, 2024 – April 29, 2024, 10:00 a.m, within the Northwest Regional Program. From a budget of 19.3 million euros, de minimis aid between 20,000 and 200,000 euros per project will be granted to micro-enterprises in the 6 counties of the North-West Region. The intensity of the support is 90%, which means that the beneficiary must also provide at least 10% of the value of the eligible expenses.
The period for submission of projects in the MySMIS2021 system is March 4, 2024 – May 17, 2024, time 10:00. The budget is 16.7 million euros. From this money, eligible micro, small and medium-sized companies can obtain de minimis aid of 10,000-100,000 euros per project, to invest in the digitization of their activity. The beneficiary must also ensure co-financing from its own sources of at least 10% of the value of eligible expenses, plus all non-eligible expenses.
Aid for companies in the South-Muntenia Region – Argeș, Călărași, Dâmbovița, Giurgiu, Ialomița, Prahova, Teleorman counties:
Eligible micro-enterprises (max. 9 employees) and small companies (10-49 employees) can submit projects in the MySMIS2021 online system during March 15, 2024 – June 14, 2024, 12:00 p.m. Eligible companies, from various fields, from IT and construction to hotels and medical practices, can obtain de minimis aid of EUR 50,000-200,000 per project. Budget: EUR 47 million, through the South-Muntenia Regional Program.
SME financing in the South-West Oltenia Region – Dolj, Gorj, Mehedinți, Olt, Vâlcea counties
Eligible companies will be able to submit projects in the MySMIS2021 electronic system during the period April 2, 12:00 – May 2, 2024, 12:00. The budget available for this call for projects is almost 80 million euros, through the Southwest Oltenia Regional Program 2021-2027. From this money, the companies that will be selected will be able to access grants of EUR 200,000-1.5 million per project.
Eligible companies can submit projects in the MySIMIS2021 electronic system during the period April 30- July 31, 2024, 2:00 p.m, for the call for projects with the code: PRSM/267/PRSM_P1/OP1/RSO1.3/PRSM_A44. SMEs will be able to obtain grants of EUR 300,000-3 million/project. Available budget: EUR 144 million.
Funds for companies from the South-East Region – Constanța, Galati, Brăila, Buzău, Vrancea counties:
Eligible micro-enterprises (less than 10 employees) will be able to submit financing applications through the MySMIS 2021/2021+ computer system during: 29 May 2024, 10.00 a.m. – 28 June 2024, 4.00 p.m.. The competitive call with timely submission of funding applications has the code PRSE/1.6/A.1/1/2024, within the Southeast Regional Program. From a budget of EUR 43.3 million, eligible companies will be able to obtain grants of EUR 20,000-200,000 each, with an intensity of 90% of the value of eligible expenses.
SME grants 2024 in the West Region – Arad, Timiș, Hunedoara, Caraș-Severin counties:
Companies will be able to submit projects for financing, in the MySMIS2021 electronic system, during the period 1 August 2024, 12.00 – 31 August 2024, 12.00, within the project call PRV/264/PRV_P1/OP1/RSO1.3/PRV_A13. Eligible micro-enterprises and small and medium-sized firms will be able to obtain grants of EUR 200,000-4 million/project. Available budget: EUR 41.25 million, through the Western Regional Program 2021-2027.
