Employees of the Gorj County Postal Service went on a general strike. The protest is for an indefinite period. The postmen refuse to make trips to the field to distribute pensions and mail. They gathered in large numbers at the headquarters in Târgu Jiu. The postmen request an increase in salaries by 400 lei net and an increase in the value of the loyalty bonus, depending on the years worked in the company.
“It’s full of colleagues at the headquarters in Târgu Jiu. All the factors that serve the population refuse to go to work. Unfortunately, we have reached the situation where we no longer pay pensions or anything, but it can’t be otherwise,” said Radu Bălan, an employee of the Gorj County Postal Service.

He is a graduate of the Faculty of Letters and Social Sciences and a master’s degree in Public Administration. In 2000, he started working as a journalist at Gazeta de Sud, and from the next day, articles under his signature began to appear in the newspaper.
