The “Ilfov without mosquitoes” campaign starts tonight, from 9 p.m., through ground actions in localities, on the streets and on public green spaces, by spreading the first ground treatments and will continue until April 9 (April 1-9) .
- The goal – preventing the harmful action of mosquitoes on the human and animal population.
The product used – STING – acts through contact and ingestion, and the application dose is 30 ml/ha. It is toxic for bees, fish and aquatic organisms, which is why beekeepers and citizens in the localities have been notified.
- Year after year, through the funds allocated by the Ilfov County Council, Ilfov County Disinsection and Environmental Greening Service supports local councils, acting both by land and air, within the entire county, against nuisance insects, with the aim of ensuring environmental conditions that contribute to increasing the quality of life, health and public hygiene, by reducing or eliminating vectors generators or transmitters of diseases.
And this year, the Ilfov County Disinsection and Environmental Greening Service will act with 15 machines, and each machine involved in the disinsection campaign is equipped with GPS and can be watched in real time on o interactive map, according to the link posted on the Facebook page of the Ilfov County Disinsection and Environmental Greening Service.
- According to the “mosquito-free Ilfov” protocol, the Ilfov County Council allocates the necessary funds, the Ilfov County Disinsection and Environmental Greening Service carries out the disinsection actions, and the administrative-territorial units in the county nominate a delegate responsible for ensuring that they are carried out in good conditions, with the information
citizens at the local level. For greater efficiency, the ground disinsection action will be followed by the aerial larviciding action, in the next period.
