The Romanian Post trade unionists who went on strike report, on Monday morning, pressure from the management of the institution, who would have sent employees from Bucharest to replace those from the Logistic HUB and Regional Courier Cluj, who went on strike.

“The National Trade Union Bloc, through the Romanian Postal Workers’ Union, reports the first pressures being placed on postal workers, union members of the SLPR, who want to go on strike. These images were filmed this night (Sunday to Monday – no) in the Cluj Regional Logistic and Courier HUB of the Romanian Post”, say the trade unionists in a press release sent on Monday morning, writes Mediafax.

Specifically, the images show 13 Romanian Post employees, sent from Bucharest, to replace those who went on strike on Monday, in the Cluj Regional Logistics and Courier HUB.

Following this decision, the postal workers from the Logistics and Courier Regional Cluj HUB protested and demanded that they leave the premises of the HUB, as they are not employees of this branch of the Romanian Post.

The management of the Poşta Română company announced that it was aware, on Sunday, of the decision of the Romanian Postal Workers Union to trigger the collective labor conflict in the form of a general strike on Monday, on 04/01/2024.

The leader of the Romanian Postal Workers Union, Cluj branch, Carol Șinka, declares that the general director of the Romanian Post does not have money to increase the salaries of postmen, but he had money to send 13 employees from Bucharest plus two managers to Cluj, with transport, accommodation at hotel and per diem to work here during the strike.
