According to the assessment made by the medical crews present at the scene of the event, the victims have first and second degree burns on their face and body.
The spokesperson of the Vaslui County Ambulance Service, Daniel Ungureanu, stated that the Operative Center for Emergency Situations decided that, in the first phase, the victims should arrive in Iași because there are guard lines for Plastic Surgery there, and then to decide on a possible transfer to other hospitals in the country depending on the severity and the available places.
“The four victims were evacuated, evaluated and given first aid, later being transported to the Department of Emergency Receptions within the Huşi Municipal Hospital. The victims are transported to medical units in the city of Iaşi. The three children are transferred to the ‘Sfânta Maria Hospital ‘ Iași, while their father is transported to the ‘St. Spiridon’ Hospital”, said the spokesperson of the Vaslui Emergency Situations Inspectorate, Marius Stanciu.
The explosion was not followed by an outbreak of fire. As a result of the explosion, the bathroom, the plasterboard floor and a door were damaged.
The probable cause that led to the explosion was the accumulation of gases in a closed space, the hose from a cylinder that fed an instant boiler for the production of hot water in the bathroom being damaged.

Three children aged 5, 7 and 8 and their father, a 36-year-old man, were injured on Saturday evening, following an explosion at a house in Stănileşti commune, Vaslui county.
“The persons are injured, but conscious. Two B2 ambulances from the Ambulance Service and a B2 special vehicle from the Emergency Situations Inspectorate were sent,” said the spokesperson of the Vaslui County Ambulance Service, Daniel Ungureanu.
The first aid crew from the Huşi Department took over a 7-year-old girl who had first and second degree burns on her upper limbs and face and her father who suffered first and second degree burns on his upper limbs and face.
The crews of SAJ Vaslui took over an 8-year-old girl and a 5-year-old boy, diagnosed with first and second degree burns on the face and body.
The explosion was not followed by a fire and took place in the bathroom of the house, dislocating the plasterboard floor and the access door to the room.
