After decades of abandonment, the Capital City Hall announces that one of the symbolic buildings of the city, the Solacolu Inn, is finally being preserved and protected. The works, the municipality promises, through the voice of Nicușor Dan, will begin in March.

It would probably be one of the most complex and difficult restoration works of a heritage building in Bucharest.

You find it on Calea Moșilor, at number 134. In fact, it is the ruin of the Solacolu Inn.

Once upon a time, this was the hub of Bucharest business, and the inn was one of the most pretentious and luxurious buildings of its kind in the entire city.

The building was erected in 1859 by the Solacoglu brothers, two Bulgarian merchants from Svishtov, who came to Wallachia to do business and other business.

Initially, the two planned to build a pasta factory, and on the first floor to arrange four apartments where the large family of Bulgarian merchants would live.
