New car registrations in Romania increased in January by 4.15% compared to the same period last year, up to 12,733 units, according to the data sent by ACAROM and DGPCI on Friday (General Directorate of Driving Permits and Registrations)

Regarding the second-hand cars registered for the first time in Romania, their volume reached 27,176 units in January, the equivalent of an increase of 16.8% year/year.

The Dacia brand leads the ranking of new car brands registered in the first month of this year, with 3,948 units, down 13.6% year/year, while the second place is occupied by the Toyota brand, with 998 units, in increase from 730 units registered in January 2023.
