Four women came up with a mean scheme to get rich. They wanted to sell the child of a Ukrainian woman to a Romanian couple.
The four women, three Moldovans and one Ukrainian, wanted to set a trap for a pregnant woman from Ukraine. After the latter gave birth, her child would have been sold to Romanians.
How the plan of the four women went
Those who set up this plan called the Ukrainian woman to give birth to the child in Moldova, under the pretext that it would be better for her and the child if she gave birth outside the war. The reason given by the four seemed a very noble one, that’s why they easily won the trust of the pregnant woman.
Another aspect that gave the woman security was the positions held by three of the scammers.
One of them is the president of a children’s foundation, another is a notary, and the other is the head of a maternity hospital.
The president of the children’s foundation would have been the head of the criminal group, as she set the stage for the entire plan that she carried out using the head of maternity and the notary as accomplices and delegating the Ukrainian woman to lure the pregnant woman into the race.

However, not only they were part of this scheme, but also the two buyers from Romania, who posed as simple adopters in front of the victim.

The plan consisted of a real psychological game
The three Moldovans, together with a fellow citizen of the victim, put continuous pressure on the pregnant woman, who, if the authorities had not intervened in time, would have lost her child.
The four argued to the woman, who already has many children, that it would be better if she gave the newborn up for adoption, since the financial situation would not allow her to raise another child.
In exchange for her agreement, the criminal group promised the pregnant woman a generous sum of money and some valuables. The same promise was made to the notary, but also to the head of maternity from Chisinau, to get involved in this plan.

But, in the end, the four women were debunked and stopped in time, as the placement center where the pregnant woman was housed reported this situation to the CCTP.
At the moment, they are being investigated at large, and the buyers will be investigated in Romania. All of them will be investigated for the crime of child trafficking, and the four women risk being imprisoned for a period of around 15-20 years.
