A man from Bengesti Ciocadia learned yesterday his punishment for a murder he committed at the beginning of this summer.
Valentin Ciortea then got into a fight with a distant cousin, hit him and hit him with his head on the asphalt, after which he left in a hurry. The wounded man did not call the ambulance, but, with difficulty, went home, the next day his health worsened, two days later the man died. Now his abuser, with older issues on his record, has received his punishment. “Sentencing the defendant Ciortea Valentin, currently arrested in the Craiova penitentiary, to 10 years in prison for committing the crime of murder. (…) Obliges the defendant to pay the civil party Puiu Cristinela the sum of 25,000 lei, representing material damages. Based on art. 397 C. Fr. pen related to art. 19-20 C. Fr. pen., compels the defendant to pay to the civil parties Puiu Cristinela, Stăiculescu Camelia Luminiţa, Stăiculescu Silvia, Stăiculescu Aida Mihaela and Stăiculescu Tania Georgiana 20,000 lei in moral damages for each”, the decision of the Gorj Tribunal states, which is not final.
