In the first half of this month, the teams of inspectors from the Veterinary Sanitary and Food Safety Directorate (DSVSA) Gorj carried out checks and inspections in objectives subject to sanitary-veterinary and food safety control.

Thus, units from the localities of Alimpeşti, Aninoasa, Arcani, Baia de Fier, Bălăneşti, Băleşti, Bâlteni, Berleşti, Bolboşi, Borăscu were checked. Brăneşti, Bumbeşti-Jiu, Bumbeşti-Pițic, Bustuchin, Câlnic, Căpreni, Câtunele, Ciuperceni, Crasna, Dăneşti, Drăguțesti, Fărcăşeşti, Ioneşti, Jupâneşti, Licurici, Logreşti, Mătăsari, Motru, Museteşti, Novaci, Padeş, Peştişani, Plopşoru, Polovragi, Slivileşti, Rovinari, Runcu, Stoina, Târgu Jiu, Teleşti, Tismana, Turceni and Turcineşti, the controls being carried out in the fields of food and animal health and welfare.
“During the controls carried out during this period, 9 contraventional sanctions were applied, representing two warnings and seven fines in the amount of 43,600 lei, to some operators and/or natural persons from the localities of Bolboși, Matăsari and Târgu Jiu, respectively: two written warnings to the owners of non-professional holdings, for the slaughter/sale of animals without notifying the authorized practicing veterinarian; a fine of 1,200 lei to a private producer, for marketing raw milk and dairy products to consumers without having a sanitary-veterinary and food safety registration document; a penalty of 1,200 lei at a grocery store, for handling food products without wearing appropriate protective equipment (missing apron/gown, disposable gloves); another fine of 1,200 lei (natural person) and 10,000 lei at two stands selling food products, for selling food products to the final consumer (sugary products) without having a sanitary-veterinary registration document and for food safety for the activity carried out ; three sanctions of 10,000 lei each at three fodder warehouses, for non-compliance with sanitary-veterinary and food safety rules regarding the storage conditions of animal nutrition products”, announced Florin Gorcea, the executive director of DSVSA Gorj, through a press release of press.
