Hours of terror in Cluj-Napoca. An American seized his Romanian wife and threatened to torture her to death. Impressive rescue forces were sent to help the woman – policemen, gendarmes and firefighters. After a dramatic operation, the American was captured.

We are talking about an episode of violence by an American citizen whom the neighbors describe as a violent character, an episode that could end tragically. It all started around 10:00 in the morning when people heard the screams of a woman, his wife. The woman, injured, fortunately managed to escape alone from the yard and take refuge with the neighbors. The police were called, but when the agents got here, the man started threatening, saying that he had weapons in the house.

He took refuge in the attic and refused to come down. Additional forces were called in and a negotiator and several special forces crews arrived. After several hours of negotiations, when the man felt surrounded, he broke the tiles on the house and climbed onto the roof. That was also the place where he was handcuffed by the police. He was put in the ambulance and taken to the Emergency Reception Unit, from where he will be transferred to a psychiatric hospital.

He also got out of there just a day ago because last week he had another episode of anger in which he vandalized the cars on the street where he lives.
