Images of the school in the Sucevian village of Șibeni have gone viral on the Internet, the educational unit, recently rehabilitated, having doors on the windows, with handles on both sides, instead of shutters. According to the local media, quoted by News.ro, the modernization works of the teaching unit building were financed by the National Local Development Program (PNDL), with a small contribution from the local budget.
“Dorel strikes again, this time in Suceava, in Ţibeni”, wrote the netizens who are massively distributing the images in which you can see how, at the school in the village of Șibeni, Satu Mare commune, Suceava county, doors were installed instead of shutters PVC that have doorknobs both on the inside and on the outside, including those upstairs.

Moreover, to stay open, they are tied with wire or fixed to the wall in the open position. as reported by Newsbucovina.ro.

The local journalists from Suceava wrote, at the completion of the modernization process of the building in which the educational unit operates, that its modernization is done through PNDL, with a small financial contribution from the local budget as well.

“Tibeni secondary school in Satu Mare commune has changed its appearance. In good. The educational unit was subjected to an extensive rehabilitation, modernization and equipment project financed by PDNL, the inauguration of the works took place at the beginning of this month in the presence of the mayor Adrian Toader Lavric, the vice-mayor Mihai Moroşan, the local councilors and the citizens of Ţibeni”, informs, in October 2021, the svnews.ro portal.

Photos published at the time by local journalists showed the facility photographed from a distance, with the “shutters” drawn on the windows.

“The project started in 2019, when I was deputy mayor. Mr. Ştefan Cramarciuc was the mayor at that time. It is a project financed by PNDL in the amount of 2.29 million lei with a co-financing from the local budget of 330,000 lei. A lot has been invested, starting with the roofs of both school buildings, the cladding of the buildings, the rehabilitation of the classrooms plus their furnishing with new furniture. An important thing for this school is the provision of four indoor toilets, modern groups no longer needing students and teachers to go outside in bad weather, snow, rain. (…) I especially thank Mr. Deputy Mayor Mihai Moroşan, who recently assisted and coordinated the smooth running of the works at the school in Ţibeni every day. If he hadn’t been in the area every day, I think the school wouldn’t have been functional even today. I thank all those who supported this project from its initiation to completion, the former and the current Local Council”, declared the mayor of the Satu Mare commune, Adrian Lavric, to the journalists from svnews.ro.

According to local journalists, the works at the school where the shutters were replaced with doors were carried out by a local company, Comtransport, which the mayor wanted to thank, through the media, for the quality of the works.

The officials of the Satu Mare City Hall could not be contacted to express a point of view regarding the rehabilitation works of the school in Ţibeni.
