Drew Barrymore received one of the most important pieces of advice in her acting career from George Clooney. During the latest episode of “The Drew Barrymore Show,” she discussed the topic with actor Callum Turner, who starred in the biographical drama “The Boys In The Boat” (2023), directed by the star of ” Ocean’s Eleven”.

Recalling when she too was directed by Clooney in ‘Confessions Of A Dangerous Mind’ (2002), which marked George’s directorial debut, Drew revealed that she ‘loved working with him’, especially because “saved me from doing all kinds of things that didn’t serve me as an actress.”

Cameron Diaz stood by Drew Barrymore when he had problems with alcohol: “It was difficult to witness that.” They have been close for over 30 years

Challenged by Turner and her “Masters Of The Air” co-star Austin Butler, also present on the show, to divulge those “things” that didn’t serve her at all in this job, Barrymore talked about a particular moment when Clooney he pulled her aside to give her some valuable advice.

“He said to me, ‘You never make eye contact with people in a scene,’ forcing me to clarify my reasoning behind this gesture. Well, because it’s something so intimate. Eye contact is crazy,” she said.

“See, now I feel the pressure to keep my eyes on you”, Turner, 33, reacted. Butler, famous for his role in “Elvis,” also agreed with Clooney’s reaction.

“Eye contact is very important in life”Barrymore replied. “I felt it was a bit invasive so I was shy, but George helped me realize I shouldn’t be doing that anymore.”
