Accident in Hunedoara, on the A1: Trucks with meat were scattered on the road
Boxes of meat are scattered on the A1, in the area of the Șoimuş township, Hunedoara county, after a accident.
The Infotraffic Center of the General Inspectorate of the Romanian Police informs that, at this time, road traffic is restricted on the second lane of the A1 Sibiu-Deva highway, in the direction of Deva, at kilometer 368, in the area of Șoimuş, Hunedoara county, as there was an accident between two vans, resulting only in material damage.
Following the impact, the load – boxes of meat – is scattered on the road. Traffic values are not high, so normal traffic is expected to resume after 7.00 am.
Fog is reported, which reduces traffic visibility below 200 meters, isolated below 50 meters, on several roads in Cluj, Sălaj, Bistrița-Năsăud, Harghita and Suceava counties.
On the main roads, namely the A1 Bucharest-Pitesti, A2 Bucharest-Constanța, A3 Bucharest-Brașov, DN 1 Ploiești-Brașov and DN 7 Pitesti-Sibiu highways, traffic is predominantly on a dry road, with good visibility and normal traffic values.
Traffic is congested on the Capital Beltway, in the local area. Chiajna, Ilfov county, but also on the entrance to the capital of the A1-București-Pitesti highway.
Restrictions for the Argeș rally
On the 10th and 11th of May, road traffic will be closed on DN 7C and DN 73C, in order to carry out the sports event “Argeșului Rally 2024”.

– between 14:00 and 18:00, road traffic will be closed on DN 73C, between km. 1+500 meters – 7+400 meters, road traffic to be diverted on DN 73 (Câmpulung-Pitesti) – DN 7 (Pitesti-Curtea de Argeș)
– between 11:50 and 18:00, road traffic will be closed on DN 7C, between km. 58 (Poenari Fortress) – 104 (Ursului Mansion).
Saturday, May 11:
– between 08:30 and 12:30, road traffic will be closed on DN 73C, between km. 1+500 meters – 7+400 meters, road traffic to be diverted on DN 73 (Câmpulung-Pitesti) – DN 7 (Pitesti-Curtea de Argeș);
– between 09:30 and 19:00, road traffic will be closed on DN 7C, between km. 58 (Poenari Fortress) – km 104 (Ursului Mansion).
