George Simion: “We are the Romanians’ revenge”

The President of AUR, George Simion, stated on Thursday that the Alliance for the Union of Romanians does not want to be “another parasite on the back of the Romanian state”, he claimed that he will not be a “prisoner of any party chamber, such as Ciucă and Ciolacu”. and gave assurances that no one “is going to steal” the party, like “the USR was stolen from Nicuşor Dan”.

“They didn’t understand that we don’t want to be another political party, another parasite on the back of the Romanian state. I, George Simion, will not be a prisoner of any party chamber, like Ciucă and Ciolacu, the leaders of the PSD and PNL criminal gangs, nor will anyone steal the AUR, as they stole from Nicuşor Dan, the USR. We are not a political party, we are Romanians’ revenge on the thieves who have been destroying the country for 34 years. We are the palm that we give to the people of Kosovo”, declared Simion at an event to launch the official campaign for the June 9 elections.

He added that moves such as the collusion of elections or the “infiltration of agents of influence” within his party have strengthened the AUR, not brought it to its knees, stressing that the time has come for a new political class.

“It’s time for a new political class, we weren’t ready for the local elections, but we regrouped instantly (…). We are GOLD and it is time to give voice to a new political class. They rigged the elections, they put infiltrators, bunnies, these little puppies, to try to scare the voters. Just don’t think there won’t be traitors. They thought that they would bring us to our knees through these movements, by rigging the elections, by infiltrating agents of influence inside the AUR, but they did not realize that all these things strengthened us, made us achieve even more the importance of this year’s elections and the stakes at stake”, said the AUR leader.

At the same time, Simion stated that the solution for Bucharest is Mihai Enache, the AUR candidate for the Capital City Hall.

“We have Mihai Enache, the GOLD man for Bucharest. Who should the citizens of Bucharest vote for? On Burduja, who stole the money from Bancorex? To vote with Dan Voiculescu, who stole the security money through Crescent? To vote PUSL, which uses the televised political stick to influence the electorate? Not! It is time for a new political class”, he claimed.

For his part, Senator Claudiu Târziu, the president of the National Management Council of the AUR, said that the June 9 vote is not a “trivial” election of mayor or local council, but must aim at the “debaronization” of villages and cities, so that “local mafias to be broken up”.
