One person died and five were injured, Thursday, following an accident in Sadova, Dolj county.

UPDATE: The representatives of the Police Inspectorate of Dolj County determined how the road accident happened.

“A car driven by a 75-year-old man, on DN 55, in the area of ​​Sadova, in the direction of Bechet, for reasons to be determined following the investigations, allegedly entered the opposite direction of travel, colliding with a car driven by a 25-year-old man from Bechet. As a result of the road accident, unfortunately, the 75-year-old driver died,” the police announced.

They stated that the other driver and three other people in his car as well as a woman in the car driven by the 75-year-old man needed medical attention.

The 25-year-old driver was tested with the breathalyzer, the result being negative.

The police have opened a criminal case for the crimes of manslaughter and culpable bodily harm.

UPDATE: ISU Dolj announces that six people were involved in the accident, one of whom was declared dead.

“According to the information, 5 are conscious and cooperative and one person is deceased”, ISU Dolj reported.
