Huge tragedy! A girl from Vrancea lost her life in a terrible accident in the north of Spain

Miruna Cojocariu, a 25-year-old young woman from Vidra, was charred to death in Spain, after the vehicle she was in collided with an electricity pole in the town of Liencres, located in the north of the peninsula. The tragedy occurred on the night of Saturday to Sunday, May 4-5, 2024, at 03:30 local time. According to the information of the Vrancea newspaper, the young woman is the daughter of a veterinary assistant Liviu Cojocariu, a local respected and appreciated by the entire community of Vidra, Vrancea county. Miruna Cojocariu was the only child of her parents and one of the most respected young people of the commune. The shock of the news of her death is extremely pronounced.

A terrible road accident, occurring on the very night of Resurrection, ended the life of Miruna Cojocariu, a young woman from Vrancea who was spending her vacation in northern Spain. Desolate images from the scene of the tragedy show the brutality of the accident: a pole down, a wall and a large section of asphalt seriously affected by flames. They are the remains of an event that troubled the residents of Liencres and that brought a lot of suffering to the community of Vidra, Vrancea county.

According to the Spanish authorities, the road accident occurred around 03:30 local time, on the night of May 4 to 5, on the road that connects the town of Liencres with Somocuevas beach, where, for reasons still unexplained, a Fiat 500 car, in which there were a man and a woman, both of Romanian nationality, left the roadway, collided with an electricity pole and a wall, then caught fire. Following the impact followed by a violent fire, the intervention forces dispatched to the scene found the young woman’s charred body inside the car. The man who was behind the wheel was seriously injured and was urgently transported to the hospital in Valdecilla, where he remained hospitalized.

Locals from Liencres reported for the local newspaper eldiariomontanes.es that they were woken up in the middle of the night not by the noise of the impact, but by the noise produced by the sirens of the emergency vehicles, which were dispatched in large numbers to the scene of the accident. People in the area are convinced that the flames that engulfed the car were at least 10 meters high, because even a flag at that distance from the ground caught fire.

During a train journey to Bucharest, Miruna Cojocariu found out about the admission to advertising. It seemed to him a field where there was a lot of freedom of expression, so he embarked on another journey, this time to discover the industry. Entering The Alternative School for Creative Thinking meant 3 days of learning animation on the fly, but it was also the best preparation for what was to come with the Roger Hatchuel Academy application. The news that she won the competition caught Miruna at 10 in the morning, in a parking lot where she simultaneously experienced confusion, happiness, pride and fear.

The day after I sent the final version I forgot it existed. I remembered one time when I received the national classification and then when I found out that I won. I still have a feeling that from now on I should prove more because this happened, and the package comes with the fear that there will only be one line left on my resume. The preparation consisted of ignoring this feeling and seeing my life.

Miruna wants to continue further in the art and although for a person who is just taking the first steps in the industry, the direction to go can be the biggest challenge, she trusts that eventually things will become a bit clearer. How and when did you enter the world of advertising?

Summer 2020 – a year after I gave up architecture and failed arts admissions and 2 months before I lost my job due to the pandemic. The summer I had the courage to fly with a paraglider for the first time. On the train, back to Bucharest, I heard by chance that admission to advertising is coming up. From there classes, emotions, competitions and the rest is history.

What attracted you to the advertising area

Initially it seemed to me that there was a lot of freedom of expression, but then I came back a little down to earth. At the moment what keeps me here is the desire to find out where the limits of creativity in the industry are.

Industry challenges for someone just starting out

Direction. In the first year of college it seems that you can go to any department, in the second you start to exclude about 2-3 and by the time you finish the 3rd year you realize that in fact you are not good at anything. The truth would not be so serious, but often there is an unnecessary comparison with everyone else who has +10 years of experience more and this leads to a disorientation of not knowing where to start and where to apply.

What do you remember from the first campaigns you worked ont

They taught me which people to trust so that I can go to bed peacefully when they tell me that they will send me their share by morning. Besides that and the fact that it’s ok to take a break or go to bed even if it’s right when you get into bed at 4 in the morning that brilliant idea comes to you. After all the competitions I realized, probably the most important thing for me, that no one hates you if you lose and no one raises a statue for you when you win.

Skills needed in this industry

I’m not yet a good publicist and people in the industry didn’t want to tell me the secret to being a creative and briefed publicist. From what I have noticed so far it would be patience and a more relaxed attitude. It helps to notice just about everything that passes by you and put them in a folder so that when you are doing your work you have somewhere to look.
