Pirelli will manufacture new tires with modern specifications and classic appearance for the legendary Ferrari F40 and Enzo | PiataAuto.md

Owners of legendary models often have the problem of finding the right tires when they have a tire defect in them or want to refresh them. Usually tires of the same original model installed by the factory no longer exist in current production, and modern ones no longer look so authentic. Some resort to second-hand donors, but even these can be imperfect. Some very special and lucky models from history, however, get exceptional treatment. This is now happening with the Ferrari F40 and Enzo, two models for which the Italian manufacturer Pirelli announces that it will produce tires again.

Both car models will benefit from P Zero tires, as these were also the models used in the original. In the case of the Ferrari F40, in 1987 the car was the first in the world to use Pirelli P Zero tires, a new model at the time!

This premiere at the time also came with the use of 17-inch tires for the first time in the world on the Ferrari F40 — a size never seen before for a production car! Yes, in 1987, this was a bizarre fact, even if today size 17 is average, or even early for some absolutely common models.

Those Pirelli tires for the Ferrari F40 had, however, another important feature, being designed for the first series car that exceeded the maximum speed of 300 km/h.

Similarly, the Ferrari Enzo model later used P Zero tires, but it was already 2002, when it was the 19-inch P Zero Corsa System version. And now Pirelli will manufacture these tires again, but also their smaller diameter variation used by the Ferrari F50.

These tires will be produced in small numbers, of course, and will be included in the Ferrari Collezione catalog. This catalog and its standards allow Pirelli, however, to produce tires with an absolutely authentic appearance, like the original cars, but using modern technologies, even if the performance of the classic car can be slightly improved thanks to these new technologies used.

The price of classic tires is not announced, but usually such products cost significantly more than any other tires, but they do not reach exactly exorbitant prices. On the other hand, fitting such authorized tires can raise the price of the car by much more than their cost.
