Lenovo brought its newest gaming products from the Legion series to Romania in the last days of April, in an event organized in a place familiar to me, at Deschis Gastrobar. It’s on Splaiul Unirii and has good food and a generous space, with a very funky swing, which I really like. I saw a lot of Legion products there, from glasses to laptops, monitors, the Lenovo Legion Go console, but I stopped at the tablet Lenovo Legion Tab. Newly arrived with us, get a hands on below.

Basically we are dealing with a surprisingly light and thin device for one advertised as “of gaming“. It is made of metal and is manufactured following the design principles of other Lenovo products, including laptops and desktops. We are dealing with a tablet with a screen of 8.8 inchesan “Incell LCD”, with a resolution of 2560 x 1600 pixels, with a refresh rate of 144 HzHDR10 support and 17% reduced latency compared to previous Legion tablets.

I liked the grip of the tablet and I was surprised by the productivity functions that complement the gaming ones: stylus support, different ways to connect to the PC, the connected keyboard, split screens and floating windows. It is also auspicious that we have two USB-C ports, one “bottom” when you hold the tablet vertically and one on the side.

The goal is known from gaming phones: to be able to keep the device charged and not get confused when playing. processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 it is cooled with a generous vapor chamber, which is put to work by the 3 performance modes: Performance, Balance and Energy Saving. Activated from that side “console” that appears after a swipe from the left to the center in games.

There are also options like RAM Cleaner, photo and video screenshot, metrics related to CPU and GPU performance. The tablet also has dual speakers tuned with Dolby Atmos, a 6550 mAh battery, which charges at 45W, 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, 256 GB storage. Plus microSD slot, Wi-Fi 6E that prioritizes games and Bluetooth 5.3.

All games are enhanced by a haptic feedback system with quite powerful motors. Asphalt 9 felt satisfying on this device and it seems to me that they have hit a “sweet spot” with the diagonal and the design format. The tablet costs 2399 lei at eMAG.
