A number of 56 candidates are vying for the mayoral seats in the Capital – the position of general mayor and the six positions of district mayors, reports Agerpres.

The candidacies submitted to the Circumscription Offices remained final on Wednesday evening.

For the function of mayor general of Bucharest enter the race on June 9:

* Nicusor Dan – independent

* Gabriela Firea – PSD

* Sebastian Burduja – PNL

* Cristian Victor Popescu Piedone – PUSL

* Diana Sosoacă Iovanovici – SOS Romania

* Dorin Iacob – Right Alternative Party

* Mihai Adrian Enache – GOLD

* Alexandru Pânişoara – Romanian Environmentalist Party

* Philip Constantin Titian – independent

In the Sector 1the position of mayor is contested by nine candidates:

* Clotilde Armand – United Right Alliance (USR – PMP – Right Force)

* George Cristian Tuţă – Electoral Alliance PSD PNL

* Ramona Ioana Bruynseels – Alliance Party for the Union of Romanians

* Florin Ghidănac – Romanian Sovereign Bloc Party

* Dan Nicolae Podaru – Romanian Environmentalist Party

* Iulian Hatmanu – Party Renew the European Project of Romania (REPER)

* Daniel Tudorache – independent

* Liviu Negoiţă – Humanist Social Liberal Party (PUSL)

* Mircea Florin Andrei – Right Alternative Party

At the position of mayor of Sector 2 five applications were accepted. Is about:

* Radu Nicolae-Mihaiu – United Right Alliance (USR – PMP – Right Force)

* Rareş Hopincă – Electoral Alliance PSD PNL

The biggest “battles” for the position of district mayor are going to Sector 5 and Sector 6.

Thus, in the race from Sector 5 10 applications were accepted. The candidates are:
