The Pitesti Philharmonic organizes the symphonic concert with musical pages signed by Rossini, Weber and Schubert on Thursday, May 9, from 7:00 p.m., at the Multifunctional Center. Conductor Emil Vișenescu (pictured left) returns with the institution’s symphony orchestra, the evening’s soloist being clarinetist Ionuț Tolea, who was the conductor’s student. A graduate of the National University of Music, Emil Vişenescu is a concert soloist of the Bucharest “George Enescu” Philharmonic, being recognized as one of the best Romanian clarinetists of all time.

With the prestigious philharmonic of the country he undertook tours in several countries. Ionuț Tolea graduated from the “Dinu Lipatti” Arts High School in Pitesti and the Bucharest National University of Music, Faculty of Music, majoring in clarinet, in the class of Professor Emil Vișenescu. Since 2018, he has been a clarinet teacher at the graduated high school and an instrumental artist of the Pitesti Philharmonic, working in the symphony orchestra and in the band of the institution, where he performed over 200 concerts.
Tickets can be purchased at the institution’s cashier and on www.bilete.ro, the price of one being 40 lei or 30 lei, depending on the seat category. Pupils, students and pensioners benefit from the related discounts.
