A man was detained for 24 hours by the prosecutors of Gorj county, being accused of killing a woman whom he stabbed several times.

The representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Gorj Court announced, on Thursday, that a man is being investigated for committing the crimes of murder and domestic violence.

“In fact, it was noted that, in the afternoon of May 8, around 5:00 p.m., the defendant CGR entered without right into the yard of the residence of the injured person RF, located in Dragoteşti commune, Dragoteşti village, Gorj county, a circumstance in which he applied she was hit several times with a sharp cutting body, causing stab wounds to her chest, and as a result of internal and external bleeding, her death occurred”, stated the prosecutors.

They added that the investigators were notified by a neighbor of the victim.

“The investigation bodies were notified as a result of a call made to SNUAU 112, by a person, regarding the fact that his neighbor, the victim of RF, was beaten by a man named Relu and has blood on her face. The crew of the Gorj Ambulance Service that came to the scene confirmed the death of the victim”, said the representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office attached to the Gorj Court.

The man was detained for 24 hours.
