“Temperatures will continue to drop, and the weather will be temporarily unstable”, say Sibiu meteorologists in the forecast valid for today, Thursday, May 9.
“During the day, the sky will show temporarily increased cloudiness and rain showers will be reported over relatively extensive areas, which may be accompanied by electrical discharges. In small areas, in short periods of time or through accumulation, the amounts of precipitation will exceed 10-15 l/m2 in the mountain area. At night, the sky will be temporarily cloudy, and it will rain lightly in limited areas. Mixed precipitation may be reported on the transient mountain ridges. The wind will blow weak and moderate, with isolated intensifications during the day during the showers, but also on the mountain ridges. The maximum temperatures will be between 15 and 17 degrees, and the minimum between 6 and 8 degrees. There will be isolated foggy conditions”, states the forecast sent by the Transilvania Sud Sibiu Meteorological Center.
Yesterday, at 09:00, the snow layer present only in the high mountain area, measured 30 cm at Bâlea-Lac.
Today it will be between 7 and 16 degrees in the municipality of Sibiu, between 6 and 15 degrees in Dumbrăveni, between 2 and 10 degrees Celsius in Păltiniș, and between -2 and 4 degrees Celsius in Bâlea Lac.
