The director of the National Meteorological Administration, Elena Mateescu, announced that the weather is changing throughout the country and that temperatures will drop considerably. From Sunday, the rains start in several areas. In the western part it will be 12…13 degrees, and in the Capital only 8…9 degrees.
The weather is changing all over the country
“From Sunday, however, it will cool down in most regions of the country, so that the temperatures, at the beginning of next week, at least until the middle of it, will register limits between 14 and at most 22…23 degrees and fairly low minimums , especially in depressions, where it is possible to record at most 12 degrees. In the western part we will have 12…13 degrees, and in the Capital only 8…9 degrees”, said Elena Mateescu, the director of the Administration National Meteorology.
Weather forecast for the next period
The National Meteorological Administration (ANM) has updated the weather forecast for May. In the week of 06.05.2024 – 13.05.2024, the thermal values will be close to those specific for this week, in most of the country. Precipitation amounts will be excess in most regions, but especially in mountainous areas.
During the week of 13.05.2024 – 20.05.2024, average temperatures will be slightly lower than normal for this interval, throughout Romania. The rainfall regime will be deficient in the southwestern regions and in the mountainous areas, and in the rest it will be generally close to the normal one for this period.
During the week of 05/20/2024 – 05/27/2024, the average air temperature will generally be close to normal values for this period, throughout the country. Rainfall amounts will generally be close to normal for this period across most of the country.

In the week of 27.05.2024 – 03.06.2024, the average thermal values will be around those specific for this week, throughout Romania. The rainfall regime will be generally close to normal for this interval, in all regions.
