A 13-year-old girl from Timisoara, a lesson in humanity. Abandoned by adults, the girl saved the life of an old woman who was hurt at a bus stop

In a world where haste, carelessness and worries overwhelm us, a 13-year-old girl from Timișoara showed humanity, which adults have forgotten.

At the bus station, the girl saw herself abandoned by those who should have set her an example, when an old woman was hurt and needed help. The student found herself the only one helping the woman after the adults rushed to board the bus that had arrived at the station.

Disappointed by adults

The incident took place on Tuesday morning, in a bus stop on Calea Aradului in Timișoara. “I was around 9:30 at the Council of Europe station, waiting for the E1. An old lady sat down next to me, and after a few minutes she fainted, falling on me, and then fell down. I tried to pick her up and help her, but I couldn’t do it on my own. There were people in the station who didn’t even want to help me or pay attention to me. One gentleman helped me very little as E1 came and they all left, telling me they were in a hurry. They left me alone at the station with the old woman who was feeling worse and worse,” the girl told Tion. When she saw that she fainted again, the child called 112. “After a few minutes, she fainted again, at which point I called 112. In a few minutes, the EMS arrived. In the meantime, the old woman and another boy managed to call her grandson, who also came. The old woman was taken to the hospital,” the young woman said.

“What I mean is that I was able to save and help a man, but I was very disappointed with the attitude of the adults, who didn’t even care, didn’t give a helping hand, took off and left and they left an old lady passed out and me, a 13-year-old girl, crying and very panicked, continuously calling for help. I never imagined that, in such situations, adults would act like that,” added the girl.
