On Friday, April 26, Patric Ghebaru, the director of the Mioveni Penitentiary, received the visit of the Minister of Justice from the Republic of Moldova, Veronica Mihailov-Moraru, and the visit of Alina Gorghiu, the Minister of Justice from Romania.
“We were honored and excited to welcome two of the most powerful women of our time to the facility. We presented our working and detention conditions, we showed the open construction sites in the unit and we presented our new construction in Micești. Considering that we are an aging facility and half of it is full of work points, we presented our future projections and vision for the near future. For us it was a unique, memorable and special moment. Page by page, we are writing our own story, and today’s message is a memorable one.” sent the director of the institution, Patric Ghebaru. On this occasion, Minister Alina Gorghiu said that investments in the penitentiary system are a necessity, and in Mioveni, almost 200 new places of detention are to be built.
